How to Judge Blade Assembly Durability?

Both VONCI blenders and slicers are equipped with blade assemblies, which consist of a blade shaft and blades. The thickness and diameter of these components determine their service life. Here are 7 aspects to help you judge durability.

I. Check the Blade Shaft Structure
1. Is the Blade Shaft Thick or Thin?
Thick Shaft ≈ Durable
Thin Shaft ≈ Prone to Breakage, Bending, and Shaking
Visual Comparison: It is qualified if it is thicker than a chopstick; for commercial use, it must be close to the thickness of a finger.
2. Is the Blade Shaft Reinforced, with Steps or Reinforcing Ribs?
With steps and thickened sections → Sturdy
A single thin straight rod → Fragile
3. Connection Method Between Blade Shaft and Blades
Integral Forging / Thickened Riveting → Durable
Simple Spot Welding, Thin Screw Fixing → Prone to Loosening and Breakage
II. Check the Blade Thickness (Judge Good or Bad at a Glance)
≥1.5mm Thick: Commercial grade, durable
≤1mm Thin: Cheap household grade, prone to deformation and chipping when cutting hard objects
The thicker, the more stable; the thinner, the more brittle.
III. Check the Number of Blade Layers and Angle (Determine Strength)
4-blade, 6-blade: Good balance → Durable
2-blade, special-shaped thin blade: Uneven force → Prone to breakage
Blades tilted outward with a large angle → Reasonable force bearing
Blades flat, thin, warped → Prone to bending
IV. Check theSealing Structure (Determine if it will Leak, Rust, or Jam)
A durable blade assembly must have:
Multi-layer sealing rings (2~3 layers)
Reinforced metal bushing
Thick and sturdy sealing position, no thin neck
Cheap blade assembly:
Only one small rubber ring
The thinnest part of the shaft is exactly at the sealing position → Most prone to shaft breakage
V. Check if it is a Detachable Blade Assembly (Not whether it can be detached, but whether the structure is firm)
Thick blade base with many metal parts → Durable
All plastic, thin plastic, easy to squeeze and deform → Not durable
VI. Check the Dynamic Balance (No need to rotate, just look at the appearance)
Blades symmetrical, uniform in weight, consistent left and right → Durable, no shaking
Asymmetrical, special-shaped blades, uneven weight → Vibration, shaft breakage, motor burnout
VII. The Simplest 3-Second Judgment Method (Super Practical)
Pick up the blade assembly:
Pinch the blade with your hand — Almost no movement = Sturdy; Slight shaking = Low quality
Check the thickness of the blade shaft — As thin as a chopstick = Short service life; As thick as a finger = Durable
Weigh it — The heavier, the more durable (more metal parts)
For daily electrical equipment procurement, low price does not necessarily mean good quality. Although VONCI blenders and meat slicers are slightly higher in price, they adopt dozens of processes and high-quality materials to provide users with the best use effect.
